How To Become A Scripted Writer

Everything you need to know to get started on Scripted today

Scripted is the best platform for freelancers on the internet.

Strong statement, but we've worked hard to develop an environment where freelancers can develop a strong portfolio, a reliable stable of clients, and earn as much money as possible. Numerous top writers on the platform use Scripted as one of their primary sources of income and you can join them by applying today.

What Makes Scripted a Great Place for Freelancers?

Payments: One of the worst parts of freelancing is chasing payments. We remove the entirety of the frustrating invoicing process and guarantee payments, on time, direct to the bank of your choosing. You have the ability to propose your own rate on Proposal based jobs and other projects with set pricing have a minimum requirement to ensure all writers earn a fair wage.

Flexible: Scripted Writers aren't required to take a certain number of jobs to retain their account. Whether you want to earn extra income in your downtime or want to use this as a first step towards working with top brands, we've got you covered with a wide variety of work across countless industries.

Working for you: We carefully review every newly accepted writer and immediately assign them to new clients to get you started on content as soon as possible. If you're still not able to find anything that piques your interest, our Marketplace Team will find work that's a good fit for you.

How Do I Get Started?

Our Writer Assessment application has two sections. The first is a brief grammar section that tests your command over the English language. The latter is the writing portion, where we ask you to show off your skills with writing samples and a short blog post.

Before you get started, be sure you have everything you need for your Scripted Application:

  • LinkedIn Account: We use LinkedIn as a means to verify identity and we do not accept workarounds on this at this time.
  • Writing Samples: We require 1 writing sample published on the web. It can be from your own blog, Medium account, or another site you've worked on. They must have a byline that matches your name and cannot be a Google Docs link.

Time: We advise setting aside at least 30 minutes for your application. But if life gets in the way, you can pick up where you left off at any time.
