Standard Jobs
Standard jobs are the most common jobs you'll find on Scripted, being separate from Rush and Priority jobs, which we'll cover later in this article. These jobs operate during business hours. “Business Hours” refers to 10:00 am - 10:00 pm PST (including weekends.) Standard jobs are usually on the following timeline:
- You'll have 48 hours once the job is started to submit your first draft.
- If you receive requests from an Editor, you'll be required to return those revisions within 12 hours. If the Editor's feedback is submitted after 10 PM, it will be pushed to the following morning at 10 AM.
- Once the job has been submitted to the client, if the client has any revision requests, you'll have 24 hours to return the updated draft.
- This cycle repeats until the job is accepted.
- We send email notifications for all due dates, so please be sure to keep an eye on your inbox for notifications.
Priority Jobs
These jobs work on a slightly faster timeline but come with increased payment.
IMPORTANT: These jobs do not follow the standard business hours timeline. The hours shown here are as-is, so please be sure to check the due date.
As with all jobs on Scripted, be sure to only take on these jobs if you're positive you can have it completed by the deadline.

Why Are the Deadlines Different?
Scripted's customers are global, with a variety of different time zones and even work culture differences that may result in them working on days that you would ordinarily have off. In order to continue to bring high-quality opportunities to Scripted Writers, it's important that we cater to the wide variety of locations your clients come from.
What Kind of Deadlines Do Customers Have?
Scripted Customers have up to 2 weeks to review the job, depending on their membership level. We highly recommend picking up some more work during the review period to keep more opportunities on your plate!
How Do I Tell What Kind Of Deadline My Job Has?
All jobs on Scripted are Standard Jobs unless clearly marked as Priority or Rush.
What Should I Do If I Can't Meet a Deadline?
As a general rule, you should not accept a job if you're not 100% certain that you can meet the deadline. Missing deadlines results in a bad experience for your client and can result in them leaving the platform. This removes a stream of income for both yourself and your fellow writers, so meeting your deadlines consistently is essential.
