How To Reach Gold Tier In 60 Days

The fastest path to becoming a Gold Writer on Scripted

Gold Tier Writers on Scripted have access to a ton of benefits and this guide will teach you to optimize your first 8 weeks on the platform and make your account eligible for a Gold Tier upgrade as soon as possible. You'll need to dedicate yourself to this goal to reach it within 60 days, but even if you only follow this program loosely, you'll be on your way to Gold in no time.

Week 1

On your first day, you'll want to complete your profile, upload writing samples and choose your industries. Without these, you'll have a difficult time finding work on the platform. Thankfully, we have a ton of resources available for you to get started.

Profile looking good? Awesome. Next, you'll want to start creating proposals.

The key here is to find the balance between quality and quantity. You'll want to create a minimum of 10-20 proposals in your first week, ensuring that each of them is unique and customized to the customer's content brief. We put together a guide on how to make a perfect proposal here.

Pricing also plays a part here. While you may charge a particular rate for content ordinarily, it's important to recognize that the customer has no proof of your track record yet. Scripted will never encourage a race to the bottom. In fact, we even built our platform to prevent that. But taking a slight pay cut for your first few jobs will pay off big time down the road.

By the end of the first week, if you followed the above steps, you should have landed your first job.

Week 2

Now things become a bit of a time management game. You'll want to continue pitching to jobs at the same rate you did in Week 1, while also working on the content you've been assigned.

Needless to say, your top priority should be the content you're currently working on. Be sure to reach out to the customer via messages and give them peace of mind that they're in good hands. Pay careful attention to revision requests, ensuring that you've addressed each one in your revised document. If you're unsure about the scope of the request, reach out to them via messaging with more questions. You're providing a service here, so you'll want to ensure that the experience is a great one for your clients.

Why? Because clients will leave reviews for your content when they've accepted it. If it was a great experience, the review will reflect that. And that review is visible to all future prospective clients.

In addition to your usual proposals, you may also want to throw in a few Blog Ideas.

The main idea here is that you're planting seeds while working on the content you've been assigned. If your proposals are high quality and your prices reasonable, new jobs will being to overlap and the ball will start rolling.

Week 3-4

By now, your first job should be completed and you should already have lined up another. You're going to want to keep up the same pattern as the first two weeks and have new jobs overlapping with new proposals.

Week 4 is important because Team Scripted reviews new accounts every 30 days. At the end of that 30-day review, we determine whether your account is eligible for a tier upgrade to Silver. We'll take into account any work you've completed, how responsive you were to revisions, and your entire performance.

If you followed the steps above, congrats, you've probably made it to Silver. You're halfway there!

Week 5-8

For the most part, you're going to be repeating what you did the previous month, with a continued emphasis on quality and earning repeat business from your clients. As you continue to earn more reviews from your clients and complete more jobs, you'll find that the process of getting more work will become easier. You'll need to pitch far less and will likely have begun to build some regular clients.

At the end of Week 8, we'll be reviewing your account again for Gold Eligibility. If you've hit the steps outlined in this guide, we'll send you a link to complete an SEO course. Once you've completed that? You did it. You reached Gold Tier in 60 days.
